Hi - nice meeting you also. My life here is dramatically different than when I lived in N.J. For one since I'm in the northwest of the country it is quite slower. When I'm back in N.J. it is a bit of a shock when first getting back on the parkway with the bumper to bumper traffic and everyone racing as if there's no tomorrow. I've been living here 8 years come Dec. Living in another country definitely changes ones perspective. I do miss eating out at home - nothing compares here.
Cool! My brother just moved to Morristown to edit the town's wing of the Patch website network. Also, you're probably going to love the new Arcade Fire album. "Rococo" is a great song.
Hi Nancy, I did the same with "Constructive Summer". Got goosebumps first time I heard it. Love the Screaming Trees. I don't think there is a better voice out there than Mr Lanegan. His solo stuff is a bit of a departure from the Screaming Trees, a lot more stripped back and bluesy. Really brings his voice to the fore. I'd recommend "I'll take care of you" and "Bubblegum" for a start. Let me know what you think of them if you give them a listen. Great to hear from you. Keep in touch and "Stay Positive" Mark
Thanks Nancy. Yup, digging an artists music follows radio exposure, which generally will be followed by live performances, and Sonia Dada up to now has had great selective regional success, and a big debut CD in Australia, as opposed to broad national popularity. Bit of trivia, the band's first single, #1 in Australia in '93, is currently #1 on the country charts..."Lover, You Don't Treat Me No Good No More', sung by a Jerrod Neiman. But again thanks, "A Day at the Beach" is a favorite of SD friends. cheers, erik http://erikscottbass.com
Thanks nancy -- we want the world to know about this. There are so many cool folks who really need a place to connect...and here it is! We really appreciate you spreading the word. BTW -- Nice town, Mountain lakes. I used to own a business in Glen Rock which isn't too far away.....

"It's truly incredible, how his attitude seems to have changed. He PERFORMED with the remaining Monkees, something I swear he said he would never do again after the '80s. It is baffling. As for the meeting, he was so gracious and answered…"
"Harry, I was moved to buy that song based upon your post. And Anna, it is WAY cool to meet Mr. Nesmith. In all of my readings, he was very reclusive and didn't make public appearances...and damn sure didn't reaffirm his former…"
"......hey Eddie....I hope we don't crash cuz (Stan breaks into song...) "I Wanna Go Back!"......you know what I mean pal....I need the plane to "Take Me Home Tonight!" (rim shot.....tip your bartenders..)"
So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years. A couple of years back, he got on Facebook and he posts long, winding tales about himself, his dogs, his home, his past, and a really lovely Mother's Day post last weekend. Photos go up. The whole thing. It's like he disappeared and then came back on his own terms. I didn't know how to take it. I'm a huge Monkees fan, no doubt. And, being a woman/girl of a certain age, I have a favorite and that favorite is Mike.…See More
"My latest brush with "greatness" was being about 2 seats from Eddie Money on a small turboprop out of Waco, Texas, about four weeks ago My friends came up with many great lines that I could have dropped, but my fave was "Hey…"
