Rock and Roll Tribe

A Global Army of Veteran Rockers

"Hope this inspires people to keep doing the music and to share it with others."

A couple of years ago I made the concious decision not to let my husbands music be forgotten and so I started promoting .One of his biggest dreams was to get played on Radio to quote him "You can't imagine how good it feels to hear your music on air"... to this we give a hearty thanx to Scrub Radio, you made a dream come true, as you keep doing for many other artists yet unsigned and unheard. After many years of totally giving up on his music he has now found the confidence to continue writing again.

I can only imagine the frustration that artists feel about trying to get their music out there ,to get it played and listened too.....its a labour of love. I have felt some of this frustration in trying to promote Keith, what sometimes feels like an impossible challenge, the highs and lows, the closed doors but through all this I have met some some incredible people and such an array of unsigned talent and developing such wonderful friendships.....you know you are not alone in this virtual world, help is at hand to keep U going ,sometimes its those little things that counts  a song played on radio ,a friendly comment and others sharing the music.

If we had'nt kept plugging , Keith would never have known that his music is liked and he would'nt have had the kind comments that people have so generously written which encourages and gives him the confidence to do more.

So remember people a comment,a play, sharing with others means so much to these unsigned talented Artists....

"Let the dream live on" I say! ..... So Keith might not make the big time but at least we can say we tried and not look back and say "wish we had done that".

"You have got to be in it to win it !" as the saying goes ...you never know, miracles do sometimes happen.

So we carry on but having fun along the way, Keith will be releasing his debut album soon albeit manufactured and distributed from our kitchen/office...hahaha our own little cottage industry. All work done in house so to speak...not on any label but thats not stopping us, no money to get any mastering done but hey ho....and hopefully another album in the pipeline.... another dream accomplished.

So don't give up people...don't look back and say U did'nt give it go!

And Listeners please spare a friendly comment and if u like the music don't forget to share....after all these unsigned artists are sharing a little of themselves with you........

Ollie, you are so loved by so many people, your efforts have not been in vane. Not only do you promote that talented husband of yours, you also are in the forefront of helping others like myself, and i just want to say thank you. I also want to thank all the DJ's at scrub for their continued support of all of us musicians, you promote us, you introduce us to other fine musicians, you post our songs so that others may hear our work and all without a paycheck or promise of any sort of payolla. You do these kind acts selflessly and your hours of hard work, seeking out the best in quality indie music should be commended. You have brought many a dream come true to those of us who never thought our music would be heard by anyone other than our immediate family and friends. I just want you to know that this musician is truly thankful... and to all of the people here at scrub, dj's, musicians and fans around the globe, i consider us all one big happy family, a family who cares for one another, who shares in the good and the bad, who supports one another in happy times and in sad times, that is what families do and i am truly proud to be apart of this Scrub Family.

Really well put, Olwyn!

Scrub Radio has been a life saver for all of us on my little label (which I won't name here 'cos that'd be cheeky!). We were introduced to it by the force of nature and irrepresible enthusiasm which is Deborah R Millstein after she found us on this very site.

I only found the Tribe 'cos I was trying to get my band (which I also won't plug here for the same reason!) signed to the much-missed Not Lame label, which was run by the other force of nature and irrepresible music enthusiast Bruce Bodeen .

What I'm trying to say is keep banging on the door. Someone'll listen eventually. And the people who get to your music through sites like these and people like the above and the great Dennis Holseybrook will remain fans for life.

Thanks to everyone mentioned in these posts, plus all the other good folks at Scrub and the Tribe.
