A Global Army of Veteran Rockers
I'm very saddened to hear about the death of Etta James. What a talent and one of the mainstays of Chess Records. Not many songs are more moving than her "At Last" and not many are hotter than "Tell Mama".
We'll miss her greatly.

Comment by shermo on January 20, 2012 at 5:12pm I dont think anyone will ever better her version of 'id rather go blind' and I just played it in tribute after hearing this news. At least she has left plenty of great vocal deliveries to be remembered by. Soul and blues singers that could outsing Etta are few and far between if they exist at all. RIP Etta.
