PUNK ISLAND 2011 PREVIEW!

Governor's Island in NYCwill turn into Punk Island for 1 day, this Sunday! There will be 8 stages, simultaneous punk music from 11am-5pm.

A lot of people have commented that they haven't heard of many of the bands--pretty common for a punk show--so I've put tog.ether the Youtube videos I could find. So far I have gotten through Stages 1-4. I will try to get as many as I can before Sunday.

Rock and Roll Tribe Plug, Rock and Roll Mayor Call to Arms.

The discussion about whether there is any cool in New York anymore got me to thinking...which got me to blogging. So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years.
