ShockPop's Favorite Independent Artist Releases of 2010 - the lists... so far

I really hate making year end lists. I play what I like. I like what I play. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't play it. If it didn't like me, I might play it anyway. So I've been flogging this list over and over in my head for the past couple of weeks... I'll rearrange it tomorrow most likely. Here's my favorites for 2010.... I love all these discs... you won't be disappointed if you try any/all of them!

I totally met Michael Nesmith and I didn't pass out

So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years. A couple of years back, he got on Facebook and he posts long, winding tales about himself, his dogs, his home, his past, and a really lovely Mother's Day post last weekend. Photos go up. The whole thing. It's like he disappeared and then came back on his own terms. I didn't know how to take it. I'm a huge Monkees fan, no doubt.
