Carol Miller- Up All Night -My Life and Times in Rock Radio

At one-time the Disc-Jockey life sounded pretty cool. If you could not make it as

a rock singer, then being a DJ was next best thing. When I was a teenager growing

up, rock radio was exciting, risky, and dangerous. In the 1950’s, rock and roll songs were no more and no more less than 2 to 3 minutes. In…

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Omaha, Nebraska, last night

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Omaha , Nebraska last night.
The best show I have ever been to. Bruce's voice is as smooth as fine whiskey and strong as thunder. Brass and back up choir and a very interactive and warm Boss made it a high energy show from first note to the last. Clarence 's big fine shoes are being filled with grace by his nephew. If you get the chance this tour, see Bruce and company, run, don't walk, perhaps in some Robo shoes to do so!

its about time

Rush and Deep Purple have finally been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Iconic British outfit Purple have been eligible for entry for 20 years while the Canadians have been eligible for 15. Both had been ignored up until 2013′s shortlist, with the subject a common one among fans and media alike.

They’re nominated alongside Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Procol Harum, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Albert King, Kraftwerk,…

I totally met Michael Nesmith and I didn't pass out

So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years. A couple of years back, he got on Facebook and he posts long, winding tales about himself, his dogs, his home, his past, and a really lovely Mother's Day post last weekend. Photos go up. The whole thing. It's like he disappeared and then came back on his own terms. I didn't know how to take it. I'm a huge Monkees fan, no doubt. And, being a woman/girl of a certain age, I have a favorite and that favorite is Mike.…See More
