Johnny Cash - The Sun Years -1954-1958

When the barriers that separated pop and country music began to crumble in the wake of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash was one the first young country artists to take a place in the pop charts. Ironically, as hillbilly music slicked itself up in search of a wider market. Johnny Cash, broke through with a sound that was so sparse and under -produced that it must have seemed anachronistic even to the more conservative elements of the Nashville establishments. Johnny Cash was born in the remote rural…See More

Five Guys -Not your usuall burger joint

Posted on April 5, 2014 at 7:30pm 0 Comments

Five Guys is a traditional old fashion burger establishment with its

headquarters located in Fairfax County Virginia just outside of Washington D.C. I

had the pleasure of visiting the one on College Point Boulevard in Flushing,

Queens, New York.

The service was very friendly and the meat was juicy and delicious and the

fries are scrumptious, cut, with Russet style potatoes, every day, cooked in peanut

oil. The staff was very friendly and gave good customer…

I didn't see the Clash documentary because I'm one of the few people on the planet without cable TV. I might have to find it online and check it out. I'm doing the full time job and going back to college thing too. I'm working on an associate's degree in computer science. Good luck on your schoolwork. Talk to you later.

Good to hear from you, fellow Texan. I'm in Deer Park, just outside of Houston. I've lived in this area all my life (47 years, but who's counting). I made it to the Iron Maiden show, but I couldn't come up with the money to see RUSH. I've got my tickets for Ozzy though, not gonna miss that one.
