Soundserif is a band born along with their first album ("12 pieces in the shape of an apple") project. It is a group of musicians strongly influenced by each other's musical backgrounds –– which are just too various and complex to be reported here. Some of the most important are the Beatles (whose White Album is often referred to as "the Bible"), XTC, Steely Dan, Beach boys, Squeeze, Jellyfish and, more generally, english and american pop and powerpop.
On march 2009 they released the EP Pieces, which anticipated 5 of the 12 tracks by which their first album (out in december 2009) is composed. One of the tracks, "Laptops", features as a special guest NYC guitarist Vinnie Zummo - who has been playing over the years together with artists like Joe Jackson, Art Garfunkel and Roger Daltrey. Since then, Soundserif's tracks have been played on radios and webradios; the song "Happy since I resigned" has been selected in the IPO 2009 compilation; the band also had the great honour to play in a gig at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, on april 2009.
In may 2010 Soundserif came back to Liverpool for three gigs at the Cavern Club and Cavern Pub for the International Pop Overthrow.
The band is now working on their next album
