Since you asked, Erik Voeks lives in the Kansas City area and use to run an indie record store before it closed. I spoke with him at the store several times and expressed to him how much I liked his "Sandbox" lp, as well as encouraging him to release another album. We bonded over a mutual admiration for Elvis Costello, XTC, Jason Falkner and Jellyfish among others. He has been recording and playing live recently. Here is a link to a relatively recent live performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3kONsC8Nw0
I haven't been able to see him live yet but hope to soon.

Welcome -- so glad you're with us. Wow, Bram Tchaikovsky! Girl of My Dreams -- one of my all time fave pop hits.

Have fun, and tell all your rockin' friends about us!

So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years. A couple of years back, he got on Facebook and he posts long, winding tales about himself, his dogs, his home, his past, and a really lovely Mother's Day post last weekend. Photos go up. The whole thing. It's like he disappeared and then came back on his own terms. I didn't know how to take it. I'm a huge Monkees fan, no doubt. And, being a woman/girl of a certain age, I have a favorite and that favorite is Mike.…See More
