thank you for your comment Jon! I hope i could do some more discoberies that you´d like too. I´m writing a little blog about some new releases of powerpop music, if you want to take a look: http://powerpopes.blogspot.com,

and so i want to note you that the Bandcamp player is not for only one track, so you can listen to the whole album in there. Please, if you didn´t know it, listen to the Luther Russell album, or you can just link it to the Bandcamp page. I think is brilliant!

Hey Jon, thanks!

yep indeed, our lists are strikingly similar. You have The Sonics on there!

To answer your question, Project Rock and Roll is my blog/umbrella for my various DIY rock projects.  I gab about music I like and stuff I learn about, recording, promotion and whatever else comes my way.  It's a work in progress ;)

Btw, I grew up in Fort Collins!  Back in the early 90s I was in a band in FC called Nyborg that I'm sure only about 4 people remember.  Cheers!

Johnny Cash - The Sun Years -1954-1958

When the barriers that separated pop and country music began to crumble in the wake of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash was one the first young country artists to take a place in the pop charts. Ironically, as hillbilly music slicked itself up in search of a wider market. Johnny Cash, broke through with a sound that was so sparse and under -produced that it must have seemed anachronistic even to the more conservative elements of the Nashville establishments. Johnny Cash was born in the remote rural…See More
