Love that Cousin Harley tune. I saw them last year, that guy is a mindbendingly good guitar player.

This isn't so "lost" anymore, but for you Hasil Adkins fans, here is a link to "The Great Lost Album" on the WFMU site.  Enjoy!

One week from today, Nick Curran brings his 50's inspired blues, r&b, and rockabilly stylings to Tambien in Denver. See ya there Colorado.

Billy: Great clip! She's still got it too. I just saw her in Vegas in April. She's workin' on (possibly already finished) a new group of songs produced by Jack White. Dunno if it'll match the success of his work with Loretta Lynn or not, but should be interesting. The man on the double-neck is none other than Joe Maphis, and if you aren't hip to him, check him out. Most of his stuff is more in the hillbilly style than rock, but he was ridiculous! You'll find him in a lot of the old Town Hall Party videos as he was the bandleader for the program. Clips forthcoming!

Here's another cool tune, just love the growl in her voice.

BTW- what's up with the trumpet in the Wanda tune? Sounds so out of place. Having time time machine thoughts- the late 50's were pretty cool. I like to hear my dad's stories of that time except that he wasn't into music much.
