Been a lot of mentions of Ice Cream Hands here the past week- my fave of theirs is the one that followed this one and which I put on my label, Memory Lane Traffic Jam. On deck for today? The new Tommy Keene compilation, Crowded House's new one and the new Nada Surf
Sounds like I need to gets me some Ice Cream Hands!!!
I just ordered this for Not Lame from Duncan - listened to the whole thing yesterday. It's going to impress a whole lot of pop geeks, no doubt! (myself included.....)

One of ALL time favorite songs - NO question. Heard a lot of covers of it over the years and heard this one when it came out and thought it was 'okay' - hard to top the original. But after yrs of hearing more covers of it, this one is certainly one of the best of the bunch. Nice find!

Alex Again - The Caulfields

In fact, i used to keep a webpage called "Song Of The Day" which chronicled random things that came up on my iPod.

Here's a link to that (now defunct and not updated) page...

I love this song! Great band, John Faye could really write, and his early solo work is just as stellar. (don't really care for his past couple IKE records)
Listening right now .......Magic Christian - Evolver.
Foutains of Wayne - The Girl I Can't Forget. I never get tired of this song from their B-side collection. This is much better than most artists' A-sides.

Yes! Best song on that whole comp - not sure why it never made one of their records. (Baby I've Changed is the other great gem on this collection)
NP: Wishbone Ash - Targus. Someone mentioned WA a few days ago, always been "Live Dates" guy, that says it all for the band but the album that broke them(at least in the UK) is pretty good but, man, they really could not sing very well.
