Let the trades & free agent signings begin.  Who's your team looking at?For the Rox, the question will be whether to give Jorge De La Rose a four year deal or let him walk.  I like the guy, but…Continue

Rangers vs Giants. Who's your pick?

Basically, it's a stacked Giants pitching staff vs Cliff Lee.  I'm going Giants in 6.  If it gets to 7, however, that probably means a 3rd start for Lee and a Rangers win.Continue

Playoffs. Who ya got?

With the Rockies having collapsed and off playing golf, I'm mulling over who to pull for.  Maybe the Giants, 'cause they really have good fans and I love that city.  Maybe the Rangers 'cause their…Continue

Having outed myself as an A's fan, I can see that the Boy's in Green and Gold will be at .500 again this year.  Hopefully, the arms don't fall off of any more starting pitching, or the A's maybe at levels not seen since the mid to late 90's.  Bring back Billy Martin!

Good blog on baseball, and some music, by SI writer Joe Posnanski:

By the way, I'm a Giants' fan, having lived in the Bay Area since birth, nearly 50 years ago.

"Mark Sanchez has made me forget about Joe Nammath."  Well, that's a bold statement.  Let's wait a few weeks before dethroning Joe Willy.

Jets are well coached and they ahve solid talent throughout.  This week will be a big test for them as the Steelers look better every week.

Football. This Jet team is different. This not like previous Jet teams in the past. They don't fall apart in the second  half of the season like they did when Joe Walton was coach and when Richard Todd was quarterback. Rex Ryan is the coach that the Jets need. Mark Sanchez has made me forget about Joe Nammath.

The have won the games that needed to win, and that says a lot. I hope we win on Sunday against the Steelers, but if not, I really beleive this team will be a force to be reckon with next season.

i've been a cardinal fan since the whiteyball era. caught em at an exciting time. haven't seen baseball that exciting since to tell you the truth. vince coleman, willie mcgee, ozzie––even tom herr and terry pendleton could run a little bit. i don't watch every game or nothing but i check the boxscore and keep tabs on them year round. pretty excited that we just got lance berkman. that is assuming, he can move his blown out knees enough to play the outfield???

I remember Richard Todd, he threw more interceptions than touchdowns. This Jet team this year. This is something special. They have a chance.

I grew up a Jets fan. Man, that was painful. I go back to the Richard Todd era. Broncos fan these days, which isn't much better.

I moved to NJ in 1980 and my dad and I started going to games that year. I live in PA now and 30 years later, we still go to games. It's been amazing to have such a good team four years in a row. We suffered a lot of sucky years. To answer Daryll's question, I'm one of those people that straddle the music/sports line. Even less common for both being a woman.

So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years. A couple of years back, he got on Facebook and he posts long, winding tales about himself, his dogs, his home, his past, and a really lovely Mother's Day post last weekend. Photos go up. The whole thing. It's like he disappeared and then came back on his own terms. I didn't know how to take it. I'm a huge Monkees fan, no doubt. And, being a woman/girl of a certain age, I have a favorite and that favorite is Mike.…See More
