Cant recall seeing Joanne Shaw Taylor posted on the tribe so I will do it with pleasure. This lady has three albums out and really rocks be it in the studio or live. Enjoy.

I don't know if they are "new" but this is pretty fine introduction to Fitz and the Tantrums....

UFO Club, the new collaboration between Christian Bland of the Black Angels/Revelators and Lee Blackwell of The Night Beats, just put out their eponymous first LP. Here's the first track, "July," in all its psychedelic splendor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXN6yfq4Rmg

This a reasonably new Australian band called Oh Mercy and the song is 'drums'. It is off the 'Deep Heat' album. Hope you all like it!

I've completed my 3rd solo album "Nightmare @ 20,000 Watts"...have run it up the flagpole via MP3s on iTunes and Amazon but nothing says 'I've done it' like a real life CD version. Raising money to do just that. Those who donate will get 2 bonus discs! You can listen to the tracks at http://radio3.cbc.ca/#/bands/Jaimie-Vernon

The album tracks start 3/4s the way down my profile page starting with the song "Radio Killed The Radio Star"

I totally met Michael Nesmith and I didn't pass out

So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years. A couple of years back, he got on Facebook and he posts long, winding tales about himself, his dogs, his home, his past, and a really lovely Mother's Day post last weekend. Photos go up. The whole thing. It's like he disappeared and then came back on his own terms. I didn't know how to take it. I'm a huge Monkees fan, no doubt. And, being a woman/girl of a certain age, I have a favorite and that favorite is Mike.…See More
