Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - Home

Harry, at your prompt I have checked out Kathleen Edwards..wow!

I am with you on Edward Sharpe and Andrew Bird as well.

Glad to hear this Gail, cool!

Make sure you work back and check out her albums Failer and Back to Me, I'd rate them higher than the new one to be honest.

There was a young acoustic-troubadour girl singing one time (....I'll give her a shout out, Jess Cleamons, you can find anyone nowadays, although I do not recommend her album, it's too standard blues/post boomer pablum...but she on this day playing live she was more of the folkie Patty Griffin/Amy Speace type) in the beautiful setting of on the sand at Jetties Beach on Nantucket....and I told her she was "kinda Kathleen-Edwards-ish"...and she thought that was like the best compliment possible

Quite the pick up line there Harry... Girls always fall for lines ending with "ish"
I will do more exploring of Kathleen ans see what I find on Jess C. Thanks Harry

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - Here

i.e. the album is called HERE....not home like I put up above.

Don't know where I got that ;<)

(....Home is the name of good albums by both the BoDeans and Hothouse Flowers though....plus....Home is where the heart is....There's No Place Like Home....ah well....)

perhaps here...old song..old album..?

So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years. A couple of years back, he got on Facebook and he posts long, winding tales about himself, his dogs, his home, his past, and a really lovely Mother's Day post last weekend. Photos go up. The whole thing. It's like he disappeared and then came back on his own terms. I didn't know how to take it. I'm a huge Monkees fan, no doubt. And, being a woman/girl of a certain age, I have a favorite and that favorite is Mike.…See More
