Unclear question, but looking for Post Bad Co.--I found the following:

Paul Rogers–The Firm, Queen.
Mick Ralphs–Ian Hunter Band (2004)

I did not find anything for Simon Kirke....but knew he was out there somewhere.

What two-word subject (or theme, if you will...) ties together Simple Minds, the Rolling Stones,

The Who, Saxon, & a popular CapCom video game series? Xtra cred given for the "how" of each.

Bingo my gringo.

Wrongo, El Schlongo.

Don't get fooled again, mi amigo.(er,..that might be a poquito hint-o)

Bigger hint would be:

for the Stones & Saxon , it's a song, for the Who, it's a lyric, & for the video game, it's the name of the game. Seemed a lot easier when I was asking it.

Street Fighter?

CORRECT-A-MUNDO!

Simple Minds' "Street Fighting Years", The Stones' & Saxon's "Street Fighting Man",

"There'll be fighting in the streets,..." in The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again",

& then, of course, "Street Fighter" the video game. Good going, Eric!

(FYI, as a side note, the question was inspired by the not-so-intentional OSCARS theme

within the previous couple of questions given by JB & Roy, in which Jeff Bridges & the subject of films, plus Swan(as in "The Black..." ) were all mentioned. I had just recently seen "The Fighter", so there you go. Forgive my indulgence.

Next!

February 9, 1964...a night that changed many of our lives, as the Beatles appeared for the first time on the Ed Sullivan Show. What future pop superstar also made an appearance on that very same show?

Need a hint, or have you all dashed off?

Our future star was appearing not as a rock 'n' roll singer, but as a cast member of a stage show.

Blind guess:  Michele Phillips?
Bzzt! Not Michele...wrong gender & homeland...that'll narrow it down a bit...
I feel bad for cheating on this so I just drop a hint. Thereafter, he’d star in a TV show of his own.

So Mike Nesmith. Yeah. WTF, right? Private, reclusive, mysterious for many years. A couple of years back, he got on Facebook and he posts long, winding tales about himself, his dogs, his home, his past, and a really lovely Mother's Day post last weekend. Photos go up. The whole thing. It's like he disappeared and then came back on his own terms. I didn't know how to take it. I'm a huge Monkees fan, no doubt. And, being a woman/girl of a certain age, I have a favorite and that favorite is Mike.…See More
