Back in high school, my friend pointed out that basis of this song is "Gimme Shelter", not that no one had used that riff progression before....but still, and not that is a bad thing. I think this a GREAT song.

I was pondering what the difference between the Flannel Rock bands of the 90's and the Pop Punk revival bands of the 00's, and decided that the 90's bands grew up on album rock like the Stones and Skynyrd and then added punk to that foundation. Vocally there seems to be a difference as well.
