Rock and Roll Tribe

A Global Army of Veteran Rockers

Songs I am way too cool to like.. But dammit I do anyway

Come on, we are all ( virtual) friends here.

Spill your shame songs,

we'll never tell.

Small print disclaimer..we all know one person's shame song is another's real toe tapper.

Harry,

U2 is my secret closet love..not dumping just confessing.

Thank you for your blessing Father Harry!   ; )

Wow, Gail. If U2 is your "closet" love, I must be really lame, cause I always thought that they were one of the coolest bands of all time ...

well there are those who say Bono has gotten a little "big for his britches"..

I've see the guys 3 x..love them, a really great band to see live.

feel like I have grown up with them, was referred to them by a friend way back in the day.

So..no, Vic, you aren't lame at all..and there is room in my closet of shame for you too!

This is another toe tapper from my secret love band

Stan:  If you're guilty for digging Player (Baby Come Back) then how about this one:

I saw them play live! ;<)

Opening act for the Charlie Daniels Band (odd pairing)....I didn't really plan on going, but they were down at Rider College one time in the gym, and I was visiting a buddy of mine who was at school there.

I will say that qualifies as up there with some of the weirdest concert pairings ever.

people like to bash Bryan Adams for some reason...but this is a great song IMHO

Bryan Adams has many great tunes....I might not put that one in my top 10 but it's good.....insanely fine girl in the video for that one.

Lonely Nights is tops for me...

I've never heard anybody echo my opinion that this is one of the best power pop songs of the 90's...most people express disdain for this song for it's ubiquity at the time...this song has many hooks, great lyrics about sex and drugs, nice intro verse chorus bridge etc etc...

Never heard it echoed until now, that is.

Great tune, right there.

They've got a few others that are all right. (How's it Gonna Be.....10 Days Late...a few more I forget...)

George Michael is a big gay drug abusing joke, right? Here's several fantastic pop songs he's written, all different styles:
