@Jean-Marie: The Nits: A good album bu tthis a band with many, many faces over 30+ years. I own everything they've done and most solo projects - I'm hardcore w/ them...

Their best of comps are good - I'm picky about them and find them spotty-ish but that is only because I have so many faves so it's impossible to please someone who has 30+ CDs from them....

that said find either HITS or DOPPELGOLD

For albums: start with finding TING and then ADIEU SWEET BAHNHOF

Then see how the band is hitting you.....

Hey there! Sorry I messed up in my attempt to reply to Val's question...I'm new to this sort o' thing. This 1971 release is a great album which features some of Ray Davies' finest song writing. Although this recording is certainly softer than their very early work, it nevertheless displays a great blend of music hall, rock, blues, ballads and pseudo country. Mr. Davies...one of THE best story tellers, bar none, in musical history.

FIELD MUSIC: Okay...Some know me as the kind 'o hyberbole 'n all - hazard of the trade w/ a place like NL but if I ponder here....this band might very well by my #1 favorite new band of this past decade. TONES is perfection. Every note - knees weak. But their entire output and the two solo projects....if one grades, nothing below an "A-" with everything they've done for my ears.

Great album! Love the '60's girl group sound. Listening to The Like's new one and The Young Veins back to back is fun.

Already have "Gathered In The Graveyard", "Lost In The Shuffle:The Singles Collection" and the "No Dreams Please" ep. If you like power pop, garage rock, or punk I think you would love his band (which is really a one-man band, since he plays just about everything himself). All have recently been added to iTunes if you want to check him out.

Also got The Love Me Nots "Detroit" cd this week.

Was at the Goodwill in Wisconsin Rapids, WI and they had a ton of Osmonds LPs for sale. I picked up Donny Osmond "Alone Together" and Marie's "Paper Roses". Both in near mint condition! I buy alot of stuff like this mainly for the kitsch affect.
