Maybe I need to file this one under guilty pleasures, but my niece just shared this video on FB.  I had actually heard the song before (there is a dreadful cover it by some band playing the whole thing on one guitar).  I disliked that version so much the first time, I didn't bother listening to the original.  Well, she posted it and I gave it shot.  I think it sounds pretty amazing and the video is pretty great.  I do like all the Peter Gabriel-isms going on here:

Maximum Jack I added that song to your previous discussion 'best songs of 2011' a couple of months back. Not only a great love song but great song in general. Went to number one in loads of countrys in 2011. It amazes me that a song made up of nearly all samples could have a sound that doesnt come across like techno. Great choice.

This one has gotten some air play here lately I've heard it on several stations

Just caught this scene in Grace of My Heart.  Written by Costello and Bacharach, this verrsion (sung by Kristen Vigard not Illeana Douglas) is not available on the official soundtrack.  Pretty great:

This is lovely, will have to check out this movie too. Thanks Jack!!

The whole soundtrack is great and the movie is very good.  You'll dig it more than most because you'll get all the rock & roll references.  The soundtrack also has my second favorite Dinosaur Jr. song: "Take a Run at the Sun", which was written for the movie.

Dug this one out of the back of the closet amid the dead rose petals and razor blades

This version turns up the heat on this good old tune
