A Global Army of Veteran Rockers
Hi, everyone, just joined, it may take me a few days to find my way around and work out how to do shit. I am a one man band, old and ugly. I play guitar and use a computer, I am a composer and produce my own music to a reasonable standard. I generally don't define my music in any particular genre, it is not 'rock n roll' the influences behind it are classical, electronica (the avant garde type), reggae and some rock music, hopefully a blend that makes it original and different.
The name of my band is The Old Grey Wolf Ltd Co. I have uploaded some stuff that I think is a good reflection of what I do, I have 4 albums that I have released via internet sites (all free downloads if you like it) Soundcloud, Alonetone, Lafango etc ... a quick explanation of each album ...
A Religion of One - dedicated to the insanity of the world, the title comes from the Persig book Lila which is the follow up to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and is a reference to the authors observations while he was in a mental institution where he described a lot of "insanity" as being a religion of one. This is my 'pop' album full of quirky songs and instrumentals.
Metamorphis - an album inspired by nature, mainly electronically produced classical music : yes, the purists have a fit, how dare you make classical music on a computer, total sacrilege. How dare you make music that isn't rock n roll ; yes, I dare.
The Vagrant Suite - my dark album, electronica and atmospheric pieces, the title track being too long to post on here but available on Soundcloud. Looking at the darker side of life, this is not meant to make you feel good but horribly uncomfortable.
The Peacock Syndrome - A collection of pieces that span from classical to experimental electronica. Easy listening.
My other project is The Seven Spiders which is a musical/rock opera, as yet unreleased but coming together, the 'Spiders' produce dub versions of songs from the musical, those familiar with reggae will understand the term.
I have uploaded the music onto a page, I just can't find it, those of you familiar with the site will know where it is ... enjoy!!
