To kick things off, here's an upcoming Doc on our favorite "glorious mess". The 'Mats.
...and the mighty Bad Brains.
Dr. Feelgood documentary "Oil City Confidential" - http://www.oilcityconfidential.co.uk

Why isn't Chris Von Sneidern famous? - http://academyavenuefilms.com/home.html

Is the Dr Feelgood doc as good as the trailer looks?
Every bit as good and more.

Plus, the extras contain a whole lot more of Wilco being... Wilco. There's a great, if slightly sad, long interview with just Lee Brilleaux. Well worth getting.

Really looking forward to COLOR ME OBSESSED now. Wish I'd known about the kickstarter thing at the time too.
Do It Again:One man's quest to reunite The Kinks. http://doitagainthemovie.com/

I was just looking for something else and found two more DVDs that fit here.

Everyone stares - The Police inside and out.

Pretty damn good, Stewart Copeland's old super 8 footage woven into a narative of the Police years from the inside. Another highlight is his chopping up and rearranging of Police songs for the soundtrack. Can be picked up pretty cheap, well worth it.
It shows that Sting was a jumped up prick even back then. But Copeland and Andy Summers come off very well.

Rush - Beyond the lighted stage.

Really good, even the famously cold Neal Peart come off as human. As do Billy Corgan and Trent Reznor in the interviews. Unfortunately Jack Black comes off as... Jack Black, I for one could live without that :)

Warning: Chicks might not dig it :)
Another punk rock doc. Minutemen, Meat Puppets, Redd Kross. www.ahistorylesson.com

Decline of Western Civilization Part 1!  Holy cow, I wore out my old VHS copy of this
Roky Erickson!  So awesome, heartbreaking, and amazing

Saw "Lemmy" this weekend... as you'd suspect, it's awesome. Believe it was featured in the SXSW film fest.

Saw Motorhead a few years back and remember thinking I would just pay to hear Lemmy hold forth. He wouldn't even have to play... just talk. I'm sure they have hours and hours of great outtakes, so this should be a good DVD.

For me, it still has to be The Kids Are Alright from The Who.
