Permalink Reply by maximum jack on February 13, 2012 at 7:17pm This song got a much deserved revival, thanks to the end scene in The Fantastic Mr. Fox. If it doesn't make you dance, then you don't have a pulse:

Permalink Reply by Gail Manchester on February 13, 2012 at 9:49pm Wes Anderson is a genius! I love all of his sound tracks.
Permalink Reply by maximum jack on February 14, 2012 at 9:12am Just uploaded this to Youtube. It's the band my wife was in when we met. She's the singer, and played guitar. It's just demo quality, but it still makes me wanna dance my heart out.
Permalink Reply by Thomas Cruz on February 14, 2012 at 10:11am That's really good Jack. Reminds me of Tiger Trap. I'd buy this if it were put out on 7".
Permalink Reply by maximum jack on February 14, 2012 at 10:15am I guess I forgot to mention that this was recorded in 1998 or '99. She actually had one song, "SPF 100" that was put on a Darla compilation a couple years earlier, but sadly she was never imortalized on wax. I'd be glad to zip up a file of all five songs she recorded and send them your way. She'd be honored to know that a R&R triber was interested in her tunes. And that goes for anybody-- just shoot me a pm.
Permalink Reply by Thomas Cruz on February 14, 2012 at 10:36am Always wanted to collect the "Little Darla has a treat for you" comps...maybe I'll start now
Permalink Reply by maximum jack on February 14, 2012 at 10:58am She was on Little Darla Has a Treat for You Volume 3 under the name Ragazzi, which she had to change because right after that came out she got a legal notice telling her that some other band had the rights to that name. That particular recording was done by John Davis of Superdrag and he plays all the parts and she just sings.
Permalink Reply by Stan Schwieger on February 14, 2012 at 5:10pm I hit the "like button" also! I like the production also, even if it is lo-fi. Good drummer.
